Production Guide

What is a producer?

A producer helps move a production from idea to finished work by coordinating people, money, logistics, schedule, and judgment.

A producer helps make the production happen. The exact role changes by project, but it often includes planning, budgeting, scheduling, hiring, vendor coordination, creative problem solving, and keeping the work moving.

For location-heavy work, producing and location management overlap. The practical questions are the same: where can this happen, how fast can it happen, what does it cost, what permissions are needed, and what can go wrong.

David Brotsky works across film, television, commercials, events, brand work, and fast-moving productions where locations, permits, parking, timing, and practical judgment matter.
